Information We Collect
When you use Playon, we collect the following categories of personal information:
Full name — used to identify your account and personalise your experience.
Email address — used for account registration, login, and booking confirmations.
Phone number — used for account verification and booking-related communication.
Location data — used to show nearby turfs and sort venues by distance. See Section 2 for full details.
Booking details — including selected turf, date, time slot, and payment status.
Device information — including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app performance and push notifications.
Push notification token — used to send booking confirmations, reminders, and app updates.

Location Data
Playon requests access to your device's location to provide core features of the app. This is one of the most important data types we collect, and we want to be fully transparent about how it is used.
What we collect: Approximate and/or precise geographic location (latitude and longitude) from your device's GPS or network.
When we collect it: Only when the app is open and in use (foreground access). We do not track your location in the background.
Why we collect it: To show turfs nearest to you, sort venues by distance, and display accurate travel distances on turf listings.
How it is stored: Your last known location (latitude, longitude, city, and area) is saved to your user profile in our secure database to provide consistent distance-based sorting across sessions.
Who can see it: Your location data is not shared with turf owners, operators, or any third parties except as described in Section 5.
Your control: You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. The app will continue to work but distance-based features will be unavailable.
✅ Playon does not track your location in the background, sell your location data, or share it with advertisers.

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To create and manage your Playon account
To process and confirm turf bookings
To show turfs near your location and sort by distance
To send booking confirmations, payment receipts, and slot reminders via push notifications and email
To provide customer support and resolve disputes
To improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience
To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
To comply with applicable laws and regulations

Payments
All payments in Playon are securely processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateway.
Playon does not store, process, or have access to your credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking details. All financial transactions are handled directly by Razorpay on their secure servers.
We store only transaction metadata — such as order ID, payment ID, payment status, and amounts — which are necessary for booking confirmation and dispute resolution.

Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:
Payment processing: Your name, email, and booking amount are shared with Razorpay solely to process payments.
Turf owners and operators: Your name, phone number, and booking details are shared with the relevant turf owner to facilitate your booking. Location data is not shared with owners.
Push notifications: Your device push token is used with Expo's notification service to deliver booking updates.
Legal compliance: We may disclose your information to law enforcement or government authorities if required by applicable law or valid legal process.
Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the app.

Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
Data stored in Google Firebase with role-based access controls and Firestore security rules
All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
Authentication handled by Firebase Authentication with secure token management
Payment data managed exclusively by Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure
Regular security reviews and access auditing
While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:
Account data — retained until you request account deletion.
Booking records — retained for up to 3 years after the booking date for dispute resolution and legal compliance.
Payment transaction metadata — retained for up to 5 years as required by financial regulations.
Location data — retained as part of your user profile and deleted upon account deletion.

Google Maps / Location APIs — reverse geocoding to convert GPS coordinates into readable location names.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

Children's Privacy
Playon is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us immediately at playonsport03@gmail.com. We will take steps to delete such information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:
